Alamon is looking for a hard-working Level 1 Telecommunication Technician with ROADM Fiber Ring experience to join our team! Candidates must have a Central Office telecommunication installation skill set. Ability to write MOP's and DMOP's and all associated paperwork required for the job. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter who provides high-quality workmanship and has excellent customer service skills both in person and over the phone and can multi-task under pressure.
This position requires extensive travel throughout Texas. Wage will be determined by experience.

Essential Job Functions:
Willingness to travel for extended periods of time.
Understanding of hand tools, test equipment, and ability to use a computer to interface with customer products
Read and interpret floor plans, rack drawings, and customer-provided work orders.
Work effectively with engineers, technicians, and customers
Proficiency in Microsoft Office computer applications: Email, Excel, Word
Communicate effectively, including proficiency in written and verbal communications, with strong listening skills
Minimum Position Qualifications
Current driver's license and insurance required
Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel
Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
Must be able to work alone
Must be proficient with a laptop
Excellent time-management skills and multitasking abilities

Minimum Position Qualifications:

General understanding of how to read and interpret floor plans, rack drawings, and customer-provided work orders.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Vocational school training or apprenticeship preferred.
On-the-job training offered.
A valid Driver's License is required.
Physical Requirements:
Must have physical strength, balance, hand-eye coordination, and stamina necessary to complete jobs in various areas.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. at a time.
Must be able to ride in a vehicle for up to four hours to travel to and from job sites.
Ability to work in different temperatures and through changing weather conditions.
Must be able to traverse all areas of the Jobsite. This may include walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching.
Ability to clearly distinguish colors, shades, and brightness when working with multi-colored cablings such as twisted pair copper and fiber optic cable.
Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions and use practical judgment while working through job assignments.
Work Environment:
The Telecommunication Technician position requires visiting Alamon customer site facilities nationwide, travel is required.
Must be able to work in the enterprise, educational, warehouse, and manufacturing settings.
Indoor and outdoor work will be based on the scope of the contract.
Exposure to dust, odors, gasses, vapors, varying noise levels, and wet or slick surfaces may be possible.
Where appropriate, wears personal protective equipment (PPE) in compliance with Company standards and governmental regulations.
This position may require working outdoors in all kinds of weather conditions and terrain; may work for long periods in hot, cold, wet, windy, or icy conditions.
