    This is a PART TIME driver position with BornSafe Logistics LLC  (the “Company”) delivering packages for a national technology company!  

    We need reliable, independent, flexible, hard workers who pay attention to details, can quickly problem solve a wide range of situations, and win in a fast-paced environment!

    ∙Pay is $23.25/hour (paid biweekly)

    ∙Schedule for FT Team Members is a rotation where team members should not work 

    more than 3 consecutive days, allowing for more personal time; every other weekend 

    should be off

    Key Duties & Responsibilities: 

    ∙Successfully handle and deliver packages on time  

    ∙Safely drive and perform safety inspections on Company vehicle 

    ∙Follow all local & state laws, road/driving regulations, and Company policies 

    ∙Safely deliver packages to customers located in residential neighborhoods and schools 

    ∙Safely and cooperatively engage with coworkers, management and third-parties

    supervision    

    ∙Provide excellent customer service and satisfaction despite stressful events / conditions

    routes; lift packages weighing up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis; maneuver packages 

    weighing up to 70 lbs., using material handling equipment, or up to 300 pounds as part 

    of a delivery team; get in and out of a van repeatedly throughout the day at variable 

    locations 

    ∙Communicate effectively with support team to provide exceptional customer service 

    and ensure deliveries are completed 

    ∙Use smart phone device for GPS Navigation, scanning packages, conducting 

    administrative requirements such as clocking in/out, and communicate with supervisors 

    and other team members

    ∙Support the team in daily work requirements including participation in rescue calls when 

    other team members need assistance with their routes

    Resumen general del puesto

    Ejecuta labores relacionados con la conducción de vehículos utilizados para el transporte de mercancía, cargar y descargar los mismos. Colabora mientras no estén en ruta con las labores de despacho.



    Funciones esenciales

    Transportar mercancía, según las instrucciones recibidas y de acuerdo con los procedimientos establecidos. Responsable de cargar, descargar y acarreo de mercancía.


    Observar en forma estricta el cumplimiento de las leyes de tránsito los camiones deber ser operados en forma segura y siempre conforme a la ley.


    Cumplir con los requisitos de la empresa en cuanto a documentación y reportes:

    Revisar diariamente la unidad asignada, a fin de brindarle un adecuado mantenimiento del camión antes de utilizar la unidad. Completar formulario diariamente de Control de Entrega y/o recogido.

    Verificar que los vehículos se mantengan en buenas condiciones estéticas e higiénicas.


    De llegar la mercancía devuelta debe colaborar alistando la mercancía en el área de despacho.


    El conductor de transporte siempre debe tener una imagen profesional, utilizando el uniforme completo. El cabello debe estar bien recortado y el rostro afeitado.


    Entregar hojas de pago en caso de que la entrega sea COD al Departamento de Contabilidad y/o buzón en la oficina del Gerente de Distribución y Logística


    Al finalizar la jornada de trabajo, debe entregar toda documentación, facturas, créditos e informe de la ruta


    El chofer se puede utilizar para cualquier otro tipo de desplazamiento, por ejemplo, ir de compras, mensajería y otras funciones que pueden ser asignadas por la administración.


    Informar de inmediato al Gerente de turno toda colisión o accidente de tránsito que se presente en cumplimiento de sus funciones y hacer querella a la Policía de P.R. Tener toda la información requerida, fotos, querellas e información del perjudicado.


    Debe reportarse al Gerente de Distribución y Logística antes de su hora de salida.

    Pushing

    To move trays which are placed on dollies. A stack of trays on a dolly is approximately 24" - 30" and requires a force of up to 7.5 pounds to push.

    Trays may also be pulled.

    Climbing

    Team members must infrequently navigate stairs or climb a ladder to change prices on signs, wash walls, perform maintenance.

    STOOPING/BENDING


    Forward bending at the waist is necessary at the pizza assembly station.

    Toe room is present, but workers are unable to flex their knees while standing at this station.

    Duration of this position is approximately 30 - 45 seconds at one time, repeated continuously during the day.

    Forward bending is also present at the front counter and when stocking ingredients.


    CROUCHING/SQUATTING

    Performed occasionally to stock shelves and to clean low areas.

    REACHING

    Reaching is performed continuously; up, down and forward.

    Workers reach above 72"occasionally to turn on/off oven controls, change prices on sign, and lift and lower objects to and from shelves.
