With more than 70 locations and an aggressive expansion strategy that includes 7–10 new club openings annually, we are seeking an exceptional Director of New Club Openings to lead one of the most critical functions in our business.

     This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for ensuring every new club opens on time, on budget, fully staffed, and ready to deliver the Ultimate Fitness Experience from day one. Reporting directly to the Chief Clubs Officer, this leader will own the entire pre-opening lifecycle—from site approval through the first 90 days of operation.

    What You'll Do

    Lead New Club Opening Strategy & Execution

    Own the end-to-end new club opening process from site acquisition through operational stabilization.Design, maintain, and continuously improve the company-wide New Club Opening (NSO) playbook.Develop opening timelines, milestone trackers, risk management processes, and escalation protocols.Create scalable systems capable of supporting multiple simultaneous club openings across the portfolio.Ensure all openings meet operational, financial, staffing, and brand standards.

    Drive Cross-Functional Alignment

    Serve as the central leader coordinating efforts across Operations, Construction, Real Estate, Finance, Marketing, Technology, and People & Culture.Lead weekly opening readiness meetings and hold stakeholders accountable to critical milestones.Anticipate risks and proactively remove barriers before they impact opening timelines.Partner with Finance to manage pre-opening budgets, forecasts, and expense tracking.

    Build Winning Club Teams

    Partner with Talent Acquisition and HR Business Partners to develop staffing strategies for each new location.Ensure all leadership and frontline team members are hired, onboarded, trained, and operationally ready before opening.Support and coach incoming General Managers throughout the pre-opening process.Establish leadership readiness assessments and operational certification standards.

    Manage Vendors & Opening Logistics

    Oversee vendor relationships across fitness equipment, technology, signage, furnishings, and opening services.Coordinate deliveries, installations, and contractor schedules to align with opening timelines.Evaluate vendor performance and develop a preferred vendor network that supports growth. 

    Launch New Markets & Drive Membership Growth

    Partner with Marketing to execute pre-sale campaigns, community outreach initiatives, and grand opening events.Monitor pre-sale membership performance and opening readiness metrics.Serve as the operational leader on-site during grand openings to ensure a seamless member experience.

    Measure Success & Improve Continuously

    Track key performance indicators including:On-time opening performanceBudget adherencePre-sale membership attainmentStaffing readiness90-day stabilization outcomesConduct post-opening reviews and implement continuous improvements across future openings.Present portfolio performance updates and recommendations to senior leadership.

    What We're Looking For

    Required Qualifications

    7+ years of progressive leadership experience in multi-unit operations, project management, construction, retail, hospitality, fitness, or restaurant environments.Proven experience managing multiple concurrent openings or large-scale projects.Demonstrated success building or improving opening, launch, or rollout programs.Experience partnering with Talent Acquisition, HR, and Operations teams on workforce planning and staffing.Strong project management expertise with the ability to influence multiple stakeholders without direct authority.Budget management and financial planning experience.Willingness and ability to travel up to 60%.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Experience opening health clubs, fitness facilities, hospitality venues, retail stores, or consumer-facing locations.Experience supporting rapid-growth, multi-site organizations.Familiarity with project management platforms and operational reporting systems.Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Hospitality, Construction Management, or a related field.

    Job Summary

    Summary: Ensures that all meeting rooms and public areas of the facility are maintained to the highest level of professional appearance and that all meeting requirements are met prior to the meeting start time.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Environmental Demands:

    The position entails working on a busy construction site overseas, generally away from the employee’s family, and in countries whose laws and social norms may be much more restrictive than in the United States, with the potential for occasional periods of social unrest, military action, interruption of normal services such as electricity and water, natural disasters, and the like.

    Work involves a 60-hour workweek, 6 days a week/ 10 hours per day. Flexibility with hours/days is required. Individuals must have comfort working in a high-stress environment and be able to perform the above activities in extreme hot, cold, humid, and wet conditions depending on location and season. Frequent exposure and use of construction equipment and sharp tools, including power tools, and materials.  May involve frequent repetitive motions.  Some exposure to toxic/caustic chemicals, potential electric shock, significant heights and high noise level, including high-pitched noises.  Some potential exposure to dust, fumes, smoke and airborne particles.
