We are a leading manufacturing company looking for a seasoned Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a wide range of accounting duties, from accounts payable and receivable to audit, inventory, tax filings, and financial analysis. Responsibilities:
As a Senior Accountant, you will:
1. Manage the full cycle of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and processed in a timely manner.
2. Conduct regular audits to verify the accuracy of financial information and ensure compliance with established internal controls and regulations.
3. Oversee inventory management, including tracking, valuation, and reconciliation of inventory accounts.
4. Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
5. Compile and analyze financial statements, providing detailed reports and presentations to senior management.
6. Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, variances, risks, and opportunities, providing actionable insights to drive business decisions.
7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and improve operational efficiency.
8. Stay updated with latest accounting standards, industry trends, and best practices.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA designation is highly desirable.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
3. Proficiency in accounts payable, accounts receivable, audit, inventory management, and tax filings.
4. Strong knowledge of financial accounting, financial statements, and financial analysis.
5. Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide clear, concise reports.
6. Proficiency in using accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
7. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accuracy in a high-volume environment.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and communicate complex financial information to non-financial colleagues.
9. A proactive approach, with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
10. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
