    Job Summary:

    The Railroad Track Specialist will inspect railroad tracks to ensure compliance with applicable railroad standards, state regulations, and the FRA Track Safety Standards Part 213 Subpart A-F. They will produce reports for all tracks inspected, noting all non-compliant conditions found and providing suggested corrective/remedial actions. Communication: Maintain high-level communication with RWIC supervisors and managers regarding assignments and schedules. Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
    Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
    Ability to meet the physical demands of the role. Effective in warning roadway workers of approaching trains. Understanding of on-track safety training and qualification requirements. Proficient in radio communication procedures with RWIC/EICs (Engineers in Charge). Capable of conducting job briefings with all roadway workers at their location. Ability to place railroad advance warning and stop signs. Skilled in installing railroad derails and applying locking devices. Proficiency with electronic communications, including email and text, as well as standard office applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
    Required Education and Experience:
    High school diploma or equivalent (GED). Minimum of 2 years of railroad experience.
    Preferred Education and Experience:
    2 to 5 years of experience in track maintenance. Prior experience working within a railway company. Training in railway "Track Inspection Guidelines" or equivalent.
    Additional Qualifications, Certifications, etc.:
    CN On-Track Worker and Operating Rules.
