About the Role The Software Development Manager will lead and mentor a team of software engineers and quality assurance professionals while driving the technical vision and delivery of Tracker Technologies' enterprise-grade software platforms. This role requires a strong technical foundation combined with proven people management skills to build high-performing teams that deliver scalable, reliable solutions serving major global energy companies. Reporting to the Director of Development, the Software Development Manager will oversee the entire software development lifecyclefrom planning and architecture to implementation, testing, and deployment. You will balance hands-on technical leadership with people management responsibilities, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 5-10 software engineers and test engineers Provide technical guidance and coaching to help team members expand their skills Lead technical design reviews and provide guidance on complex technical challenges Participate in code reviews to ensure quality, maintainability, and adherence to standards Maintain hands-on involvement in critical technical work (React, TypeScript, Node.js and C#/.NET) Partner with Director of Development on strategic planning and technical roadmap Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions Develop responsive, intuitive user interfaces using React and modern frontend frameworks Design
