The Mt. Washington UMC Child Enrichment Center is hiring lead and assistant early childhood teachers. No nights or weekends. We are seeking a patient, nurturing, energetic person who possess a passion to promote social, emotional, physical and cognitive growth in each child.
We provide a fun, relaxed environment with paid training, paid holidays including Christmas to New Years, paid time off, vacation days, a monthly Mental Health day, child care discount and health care.
Pay is based on experience and education.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Maintain a safe clean environmentDevelop and implement age appropriate weekly lesson plansInteract with children to support play, exploration, and learningShow empathy and compassion for young childrenFacilitating ongoing communication with parentsDevelop a relationship with the children, parents and other staff membersAble to calmly address stressful situations professionallyAble to multi-taskMeet state licensing and annual continuing education requirementsAble to lift 40 lbs. in connection with handling safety or emergency situations with the children.Ideal candidates possess a CDA, an associate degree in child care, or a bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education.
High School diploma or GED is required.
Candidates are required to pass a work physical and a criminal background check.
