Perform inspections and mechanical adjustments, diagnose, repairs and parts replacements for company fleet vehicles and heavy equipment
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose services through proficient use of electronic testing equipmentPerform minor repairs (i.e. electrical components, power windows, power, mirrors, door locks, etc.)Perform routine vehicle maintenance on company vehicles, fleet trucks ( i.e. mechanical work on brakes, fuel pumps, alternators, air conditioning, oil changes, tire balancing and rotation, replacing batteries, etc.)Ensure repair orders are completed accurately including use of current parts and manufacturer updates and changes of vehicle requirementsPerform other duties as assigned b manager or supervisorOvertime (more than 40 hours per week) may be required at times as business needs dictateEducation & Special Knowledge

This individual will be responsible for the efficient repair of heavy equipment machinery and components. may work independently to perform basic and complex diagnostics, inspections, maintenance and service repairs on internally owned equipment at high levels of quality. Work must be completed in a safe, professional and timely manner. Daily duties will include regular customer contact, diagnosing, troubleshooting using diagnostic tools and making repairs.
Requirements
3+years experience working on heavy equipment, proven knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and techniques used in the repair of equipmentA valid Driver's License with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Status to operate company service vehiclesMust be able to perform basic/complex diagnostics on equipment to determine required repairs and communicate future repairs to the shop supervisor and customerDiagnostics and repairs will include, but not limited to, electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and diesel repairsUndercarriage component knowledgeMust have computer skills for reporting technical issuesMust be able to use a computer or tablet as a tool for diagnostics as well as data entryMust assist in maintaining and cleaning shop area, tools, and company vehiclesMust work collaboratively with other technicians and parts personnelSkilled in operating and inspecting heavy equipment or machines to diagnose malfunctions or defectsMust have own toolsPreferred
Forklift experienceWelding or soldering broken parts by using gas or electric weldersManages time effectivelyPhysical Demands
To successfully perform the essential duties of this position, an individual must be able to frequently lift and carry objects up to 75lbs
