Autumn Care Assisted Living is looking for a Part-time Cook to prepare delicious meals for our residents. You will follow a weekly menu according to State Regulations & Resident Preferences. They must be able to follow instructions in cooking and delivering well-prepared meals in large quantities.
Responsibilities
Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.)
Cook food in various utensils or grillers
Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
Ensure food is cooked to a safe temperature
Follow a state regulated menu
Serve food according to resident's allergies & preferences
Skills
Experience in using cutting tools, cookware and bakeware
Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.)
Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
Very good communication skills
High school diploma or equivalent
Culinary background is a plus
Requirements
Up to date Food Handlers Permit
Be able to pass a background test
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
